Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate site-specific technology programs and efforts for Research, including Site or Lab construction or relocation activities
• Serve as a liaison between Information Systems functional areas and Research leaders to provide a better digital experience for Research staff
• Be the primary contact for Site incidents and emergency response planning and management
• Facilitate site-specific end-user technology needs, including data center, network bandwidth, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, conference room configurations.
• Drive consistency in processes and adoption of Scientific application systems across sites with recognition to site-specific needs where appropriate
• Continually seek opportunities to increase Research staff satisfaction in using & adopting technology
• Ensure effective communication and champions feedback between scientific area management, technical staff, and vendors to analyze scientific needs and implement informatics solutions in data acquisition, integration, and analysis

Basic Qualifications

Master’s degree & 3 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems Help Desk

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS or MS in life sciences, computer science, or engineering
• 3 + years of business analysis experience, preferably in the life science industry or process automation
• Strong customer focus with the ability to work closely with customers to manage the resolution of Information System tickets in line with customer expectations
• Expertise in translating business requirements to technical requirements and recommending solutions.
• Experience using Agile methodologies & tools
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate/lead multiple projects/activities with competing priorities
• Experience in developing RFPs, conducting vendor landscape analysis based on the business use cases, vendor evaluation, selection, and implementation processes
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills and ability to connect with Business and Technology partners in non-technical language
